Automobile manufacturer, Toyota on Thursday launched two luxury sedans Corolla Altis for the Indian market. The Corola Altis will be offering petrol as well as diesel variants for the consumers. Along with the sedan, the company also announced that it would be launching its hatchback Etios Liva on 27th June 2011.
Sandeep Singh, the deputy managing director of marketing of Toyota Kirloskar Motor has assured that the new Corolla Altis will be offering the latest technology and design. The new sedan has been priced between Rs. 1,146,500 and Rs. 1,455,000 for the diesel variant, while the petrol variant will cost between, Rs. 1,053,300 and Rs. 1,477,400.
Moreover, the petrol version will be powered with 2ZR Dual VVT-I engine of 1,798 cc, with an output of 140 ps at 6,400 rpm. Apart from the technical improvements, the interiors have also been added like the remote boot opener, perforated leather seats and DVD touch screen audio with Bluetooth. Since the launch of the car, the company has sold nearly 70,000 units.
