Nagaland minister for School Education and SCERT N. Konyak along with some officials from that state visited Mizoram to study how SSA in Mizoram is implemented. Nagaland mission director (SSA) Angau I Thau; director of school education Nipusille Angami and MIS coordinator S Nagi accompanied the minister during their visit to Mizoram in the last three days since Monday.
The Nagaland team visited Sihhmui P/S and Phunchawng Comprehensive School. Minister N Konyak while praising Mizoram said that their visit was prompted because Mizoram performs better in implementing the SSA scheme. Praising the Mizoram school education department in preparing report on Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) which makes them the first state to submit the report to New Delhi, the Nagaland minister requested his counterparts in Mizoram to assist him in this matter. He said that Nagaland has not yet fully aware of the project and many things are still left which he asked Mizo officials to assist him.
Lalsawta and Parliamentary secretary Chawngtinthanga on the other hand promised to help Nagaland on this regard. The team on Tuesday visited SSA Boxing Academy, Karate Academy, Football Academy, BRC Aizawl E-I, Gilead Special School, Girls Hostel, Laldenga Computer Centre, Aizawl Music Academy and Directorate, State Mission Office. The Naga minister also said that his state will take the help of Mizoram in RMSA project, Model School Project and Girls Hostel Project in Nagaland. The Nagaland team left for their home state on Wednesday.
