Alastair Cook stands tall, England lead by 232 runs,Alastair Cook cracked a monumental unbeaten 182 as England tightened their stranglehold over a hapless India by taking a substantial 232-run lead in the third cricket Test here today.

Responding to India's paltry first-innings total of 224, Cook notched up his 19th Test century to guide England to an imposing 456 for three at close on the second day.

Captain Andrew Strauss (87 off 176 balls), Kevin Pietersen (63 off 78), Eoin Morgan (44 batting) and Ian Bell (34 off 43) were the other notable performers on a Edgbaston track which seemed to have no demons, allowing the batsmen to score freely.

Morgan was giving the in-form Cook company when stumps were drawn to bring to an end another hard day for the visitors.

The Indian bowlers lacked sting to pose any sort of trouble to the strong English batting line-up, which added 372 runs in 90 overs after resuming from their overnight score of 84 for no loss.

England will now look to take a massive first-innings lead and push for a victory, which will not only give them an unassailable 3-0 lead but also the number ranking in this form of the game.

'Basketball Wives' Recap: The Ladies Taste Wine, Shop,  Fight in Rome! - Hollywood Life, 'Basketball Wives' Recap: The Ladies Taste Wine, Shop,  Fight in Rome! - Hollywood Life, In case you forgot, the ladies are in Rome! There must be something in the water in Rome because all of the ladies act so out of character! They can’t stop fighting! They can’t stop talking smack about each other! What’s gotten into them?!

Suzie sums up my feelings about last episode’s fight – and Basketball Wives in general—when she says, “I was confused before and I was even more confused last night.” With every episode these ladies drag me down further and further into the abyss of incomprehension.

Tami gives us yet another of her one of her pearls of wisdom when she describes her relationship with Meeka by saying, “Imma tolerate her ‘cause she’s here. But I don’t like her.” Suzie tells us that Meeka pulled her aside to talk about Tami. Then we see Suzie pull Meeka aside and say, “How are you feeling about last night?” I guess there’s a small discrepancy in the actual chain of events. They discuss the fight and then Meeka retorts, “I didn’t come here to make friends,” which I think works when you’re on a competitive reality show but not on a reality show about a group of friends.

Later in the day, at lunch, the ladies bring up the fights again and try to “work them out.” For some reason Tami is the only one eating at the entire table and continues to eat throughout the entire conversation. She accuses Meeka of “Googling her” and “being a fan.” It made as much sense watching it as it did reading it.

Through Twitter, Tami finds out that someone is telling Royce what’s been going on on the trip. Since, according to Evelyn, “Suzie can’t keep sh*t in,” all trails lead to her. They let Suzie know that, “Royce is not her girl like that.” I interpreted this to mean that Royce isn’t someone that Suzie should share personal things with because she has a big mouth. Is this accurate? Anyone?

The ladies go wine tasting but Meeka doesn’t show up. No one knows where she is and it seems like no one cares. Tami lets everyone know that she’s “upset that I have to talk about Meeka as much as I do.” So are we, Tami. So are we.

Evelyn fills Tami and Shaunie in on the Jennifer drama. In case you forgot, Jennifer gave a radio interview telling the hosts that she disproves of Chad and Evelyn’s relationship. Once Tami catches wind of an impending fight, she begs Evelyn to let her be the one to start it. Wisely, Evelyn declines. Evelyn says that once she gets the interview on tape, her and Jennifer’s relationship will never be the same. It will never be the same. Only it sounds like she’s saying: “Ih will neva be da sa,” over and over.

Evelyn calls Tami and Shaunie to her room because she’s going to confront Jennifer. In all the time they’ve had to think about it, no one can come up with a better place and time for said confrontation. Evelyn put on hoop earrings that are so big they look like silver hula hoops and actually restrict the kind of movements Evelyn can make with her head. Jennifer arrives wearing sunglasses that look like they’re on upside down. The fight happens and it’s slightly uneventful. Go figure; it’s the only one that actually makes sense. Evelyn storms out and Shaunie goes to get her. In a turn of events for Basketball Wives, Evelyn refuses to continue fighting and locks herself in her room.

Jennifer, Shaunie, and Tami have gone back to a room where Jennifer is crying for only the second time since she’s known Shaunie. Jennifer sits there staring at the other two with red, teary eyes, occasionally glancing at the camera to make sure they’re capturing it. They are.

The ladies decide that the issue must be resolved RIGHT THIS SECOND! They go to Evelyn’s door and bang and ring the bell to no avail. Not able to take a hint, Tami walks out onto the balcony and climbs around into Evelyn’s room to let everyone in because they are handling this TONIGHT!

Well, he’s not exactly bad, but he does plan on causing a whole lot of drama with our favorite girl Clare, making him downright EVIL in the eyes of Eclare lovers. Before the World Premiere of Degrassi: Now Or Never TONIGHT at 9PM, we had to know: is Justin Kelly proud of his new homewrecking role? Ology got the answers from the man himself.

OLOGY: At Ology, we call our favorite things our Ologies. What are your five favorite things?

JUSTIN KELLY: My favorite things are MovieOlogy, MusicOlogy, RelaxingOlogy, FriendsOlogy, and FamilyOlogy.

So how did you wind up auditioning for Degrassi? Did you watch it beforehand?

I was in Los Angeles at the time, when I got a call from my agent asking if I wanted to read for one of the new characters for Season 11. I sent a couple tapes up that I shot with a buddy in our apartment and then flew home to Toronto for the screen test. It was later that same day that I found out the good news! I’d seen a few episodes from the earlier seasons of The Next Generation then started watching it a lot more when Season 10 came around.

What was it like when you first met the cast?

I was lucky enough to know most of the cast before signing on, because of being best friends with Munro. He introduced me to most of them during the filming of Season 10, so I automatically felt welcome!

A lot of people know you from your role on The Latest Buzz. Who did/do you like acting more, Noah Jackson or Justin Kelly?

Both characters are so different, and are mostly placed in two completely different styles of television. It’s hard to say, because I played Noah for about two and a half years, but I’m loving my time playing Jake. Jake certainly has more drama to deal with! But [that’s what makes him] always very fun to play.

We hear that you play guitar. Is there a band in Justin Kelly’s future!

I truly don’t have any idea about a band! I play guitar and bass, but I just enjoy jamming for the time being!

The seniors are leaving the show this year. Who will you miss the most?

I’ve worked with them for such a short time that it’s so weird seeing them go so soon! I’ll really miss all of them. Each actor brought something very special to the show, and they were just all-around great people to work with and be around.

Who is your celebrity crush?

I’d have to say Helen Mirren or Dame Judy Dench! Something very electrifying about those British actresses! But actually… I don’t know!

What does Justin Kelly look for in a girl?

She’s got to have a sense of humor. It’s great being with someone that you can laugh with. I guess that falls under personality, so I choose personality!

So how do you feel about your character immediately stepping into all of this Eclare drama?

I don’t know! EClare has been such a favourite, and together those characters have established something so iconic, in a way, that it’s pretty intimidating to step into that.

So tell us the truth: Is EClare over? Are you a homewrecker? Do you enjoy being a homewrecker, Justin?

I wish I could say! I don’t even know… I feel that their relationship is so complex that it’s very hard to tell what’s going to happen between those two. But being a bit of a homewrecker certainly spices things up!

Breaking Bad Season 4 Premiere Bingo, I think that if the emotion that I’m currently feeling could be summed up in a word (rather a sound), it would be E! or something comparably high-pitched and vowel-heavy. That’s because my favorite show on television and (inarguably, mind you) the best show on television returns tonight.



Good attempt, Game of Thrones, you almost did it. You almost reached the pinnacle of my TV favor. But in the end, Breaking Bad is still the show that excites me the most episode to episode. For all of you people out there that aren’t watching Breaking Bad yet, shame.

If that’s the case, NY Mag has a pretty good catch-up schedule for the first three seasons. So, DVR tonight’s Season 4 premiere, spend next week catching up, and have a double feature next Sunday. Easy.

For all the rabid fans of the show (you can’t just be a regular fan), there’s this: Breaking Bad Bingo. Much more interesting than Apple WWDC Bingo, Breaking Bad Bingo compiles some of the show’s most common occurrences. I’m pretty sure that the “Hank Panic Attack” and “Porkpie hat” spaces are sure things.

Time recently sat down with show creator Vince Gilligan to talk about the upcoming fourth season. During that interview, Gilligan discusses the future of the show – specifically when we can expect closure.

On whether Breaking Bad would be best served by setting an end date:

Yes, in a perfect world, absolutely. I remember when the creators of Lost went public, along with ABC, and told the viewers, told the fans, we will end on X date one or two years from now. I thought that was brilliant and I think more shows should do that , and I’d love for this show to follow in the footsteps of Lost and set an end date. It’s tricky because there’s so many moving parts. There’s two very big companies who have a lot of, you know, we’re all spinning a lot of plates here as it were.

But in a perfect world, a show like this in particular—there’s no reason you have to set an end date to a wonderful show like ER or Law and Order, or something like that. There’s no reason a show like that theoretically can’t go on forever. It’s somewhat designed to. But a show like this is designed to end. … It’s one guy’s story, and therefore to do right by the audience, the people who got us here, you really do need to set an end date, and I’ve sort of been pushing for that. I think it’s time to push a little harder.

With all great shows, there’s a delicate balance with regards to the ending. It’s tough to say goodbye to a show you love, but when it stretches out too long you’re usually left with a lesser quality product, a mere fragment of its original impact (I’m looking at you, X-Files).

Breaking Bad May End After Season 5, New Two-Minute Season 4 Trailer, All good things must come to an end and Breaking Bad is definitely a good thing. It appears the creator of the AMC drama series has an idea of when the series will end, and it may not be that far off. More on that, a two-minute trailer for Season 4, and some photos from the season premiere ahead!

The New York Times ran an interesting article on Breaking Bad today, which includes some thoughts from series creator/showrunner Vince Gilligan. Toward the end of the article, the writer says that Gilligan would be “just fine” with the series’ ending being in sight, stating, “He can imagine a fifth season of “Breaking Bad,” but that’s it.” The article doesn’t specify whether or not Gilligan definitely plans to wrap the show up by the end of Season 5, or whether or not AMC is on board with this plan, but given the nature of the show, it makes sense. The article does quote Gilligan on his thoughts about Walter White and how he’ll feel when the show ends:

“Now he’s not quite at the point where I’d cross the street if I saw him coming,” he said, with a smile. “But I wouldn’t want to be stuck in an elevator with him too long.” Plotting Walt’s transgressions has proved wearying enough. “It’s hard to write a character that dark and morally ambiguous,” he said. “I’m going to miss the show when it’s over, but on some level, it’ll be a relief to not have Walt in my head anymore.”

As much as I love Breaking Bad, I think a Season 5 ending would work nicely to complete the story. I don’t think that having a specific ending for a series in mind guarantees that the show will have a good ending. Battlestar Galactica, for example, could have had a better ending. It could have had a better last season, in fact. But when you consider what might have become of the show if the series had been kept on the air, season after season simply because there were so many of us who were devoted to watching it, a decent ending is better than one that comes after too many bad seasons. 24 should have ended about three seasons before it did. So, if Season 5 really does turn out to be the last, I hope it’s a good one. If Walter White continues to transform from timid science teacher to angry, sometimes-scary hardcore drug dealer, I can only imagine what he’ll be like a season from now.
